Downtown Hyannis Fourth of July Celebration

HYANNIS HARBOR BOAT PARADE – The Cape Cod Maritime Museum, Hyannis Marina, and the Hyannis Yacht Clubcontinue to collaborate and present the Annual Hyannis Boat Parade. Boats assemble off of Hyannis Yacht Club and head to the inner harbor to show off their red, white and blue at approximately 4:30 PM before circling the inner harbor to show off their civic pride to the many hundreds of spectators that gather along the waterfront at Bismore Park. 4:00 – 7:30 PM | DOWNTOWN HYANNIS will offer lively music on Main Street and at the Hyannis Village Green Bandstand. There is something for everyone to enjoy and admission is FREE! The street will be open to traffic and regular parking. Pop-up musical performances and deejays will be stationed in locations along Hyannis Main Street during dinner hours. A variety of musical genres will be featured with live performances by local musicians, deejays and community groups. Giant puppets, jugglers, a magician and other roaming entertainers will delight residents and visitors alike throughout the afternoon and evening. The Yarmouth Minutemen will host an educational immersive re-enactment on the Village Green including colonial life and non-firing musket and cannon drilling. Performances on the Bandstand will include the Cape Cod Ukulele Club and the popularCape Cod Moonlighters Big Band, followed byCommunity Drumming with Sam Holmstock. All are welcome to visit, learn, and play at the Village Green, Outdoor Play Oasis at the Hyannis Public Library and to visit the popular HyArts Artist Campus, including the Guyer Barn with pop-up programs featured by theCultural Center of Cape Cod. Always a favorite, the Artist Shanties at the Overlook and at Bismore Park will offer shoppers plenty to choose from.

7:30 PM | CAPE SYMPHONY and TOWN OF BARNSTABLE“Joy4July” CELEBRATION AT MICHAEL K. ASELTON MEMORIAL PARK(Rain Date: July 5, 2024).
A very special tradition in the making – the 2024 Town of Barnstable Fourth of July Celebrations will culminate with “Joy4July”, a free outdoor concert by Cape Symphony, led by Joe Marchio, Conductor, and featuring special guest Matthew Levesque. The performance, blending pop, Broadway, patriotic, and Americana music is free and no tickets are required. Drivers with a valid handicap placard are welcome to park in the Armory lot on South Street, across from Town Hall. The Barnstable Adult Community Center will provide free shuttle service to and from the entrance at the Maritime Museum. |
PARKING & TRANSPORTATION – There are several municipal lots in downtown Hyannis where free parking is available for up to six hours. For a map with locations, go to https://www.townofbarnstable.us/departments/parkingdivision/Locations/parkandwalk.pdf. Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority (CCRTA) has hourly parking available after the first 30 minutes free at the Hyannis Transportation Center. Long-term parking is also available for daily rates. SECOND SUMMER FIREWORKS – There will be no town-sponsored fireworks on July 4th due to ongoing concerns with federally protected species. Alternatively, the third annual ‘Second Summer Fireworks’ will be held on Saturday, August 31, 2024 from a barge in Lewis Bay with spectator viewing at Kalmus and Veterans Park Beaches.
